How do I set up payroll for a small business and keep it affordable?
I have a small business and I am ready to hire one or two employees. I want to know the best way to establish and manage payroll on a tight budget. I am kind of a do it yourselfer but I want to make sure it’s done right and with not a lot of hassel. Any advice?

    You set up your payroll by getting a commercial bank account with your business name and address, then you hire a bookkeeper to figure out the hours worked and amounts to be paid to the government for taxes, for each employee. (you’ll need an IEN) dusty_titus

    There are dozens of laws governing employee compensation. If you don’t want to run afoul of various government agencies, you have to be well organized and stay up-to-date.
