How hard is it to start your own business? Is there any business you can do from home?

I have always wanted to have my own business. Is there any business me and my husband can start from our own home? We just had our second child and can’t afford to buy or rent a building of our own just yet. And NOT babysitting. I have enough kids of my own. I would really like something we can do together. Cooking, crafts, etc. How do you get people or stores to sell your buy/sell your stuff?
