How to write a business letter of invitation?

I need to write a letter of invitation for a Russian colleague who is visiting our UK office on business. In previous jobs the HR department has had a standard letter that you request but on this occasion I have to write my own. Has anyone got a template or guidelines that I can use?

    Its a regular busness letter. I mean what the hell do they teach you in those fancy England schools. I guess we, as Americans, assume brits are smarter because of the accent. The Feudal Prince
