I know I would obviously have to start very, very small, not take a salary, and devote a lot of hard work to make the business successful. What kinds of loans/grants are out there for first-time small business owners? Woman-owned businesses? Are there any incentives to start a business (like tax credits) in this economy? Where should I go to start the process? Thanks!

I have a poor credit score because for small debts I have accumulater over the years but I have eliminated the majority of them. I want to buy a business here in Illinois for $70k..I do have 10% down in cash but I can’t find financing. What can I do? The owner will be leaving town in 3 weeks and will probably list it….help!

Trying to decide which major I want, I think I want to go into finance, but I am not sure. I know I am going into business- at a business school.

Also, if there are any people who have careers in finance, what do you specifically and do you like your jobs? Because I have an internship in finance and accounting and it is pretty boring…but it is just because they don’t give me enough work to do so I don’t feel like I have had the true experience.
