I am starting a business venture with an overseas engineering team. I live in the US and they live in Indonesia. We are seeking an arrangement where both sides will share equity in the project. How can this arrangement be structured? What methods will hopefully minimize tax implications? I am a US citizen, and my partner is not.

A family friend of ours has just started a small business venture. The business is related with designer bags and women accessories. Our friend wants to explore export opportunities and she needs a simple website and maybe develop it into a sophisticated one once the business grows so that through the web site she would be able to tap new customers and unlimited business prospects abroad. I just want to advise her how to start a business website that is cheap and does not cost that much and easy to set up and manage the website.

I am a restaurant worker, learned the business and someone wants to start a business with me. Right now I manage a small place, but don’t have money to start anything on my own, so they would invest the money, but I don’t know how to go on with it. Am I supposed to work on my own and the investor collect the profit without doing anything? How can we be fare on something like this? Did anyone have any experience like this before?
