What should I bring to my business meeting for my new company?
My family and I started a new janitorial company and we have a meeting with a potential client later this week, but I do not know what to bring with me. I want to wait until after the meeting to draft a proposal so I can include specifics and details relating to the their business and exact needs. Obviously I would need to bring business cards and such, and a notebook to jot down notes. Is there any other material I should bring that might be useful? I have never done this before so I am kind of clueless.

That should be sufficient for your first meeting. As you grow more accustomed to what your business will be like, additional things you should bring are price lists (10 rooms for $x, 20 rooms for $y), a generic contract (so your customer can see terms of service upfront), special promotions/discounts (if they sign with your for 6 months, they get a 20% discount), and references from other clients (good words from others always boosts future business). Also, depending upon the size of your client, they might want to see insurance documents (like do you carry liability insurance, workman’s compensation, etc.) naztazia
